While swimming is a great calorie-burning weight loss workout, doing it with weights makes it all the more challenging and effective. In Akshay's words (as he mentions in the caption), swimming with weights is a great legs workout and helps in overall core building. However, it has to be ensured that you are good at swimming before going ahead with swimming with weights.

A well-rounded fitness program must include core exercises. They help you get in better shape and Akki seems to agree. In the following video, he does a hula hoop exercise with wooden beads. Birthday boy Akshay Kumar mentions in the caption of the Instagram post that the exercises is great for the back and stomach muscles.
