Know All About The New Guidelines For Hypertension
With 1 in 4 adults in India with Hypertension, it can easily be deemed an epidemic. Hypertension if not properly treated can cause a lot of complications like heart disease, stroke, kidney problems and even eye problems. New international guidelines have been released where the actual definition of hypertension has been changed.Traditionally if your blood pressure was consistently more than 140/90 you were deemed with a diagnosis of Hypertension. But, as per the new recommendation, if you have blood pressure of more than 130/80, means you have hypertension.
