  • Sugita Scholar – Chosen as Sugita scholar and got trained in micro-neurosurgery at Nagoya university school of medicine, Nagoya, Japan, For 3 months from May to July 2003.
  • UICC Fellow - Selected as Fellow of UICC (international union against cancer) to do clinical Research at, Hospital for sick kids, Dept of Neurosurgery, U of Toronto, Toronto, Canada.
  • Research Scholar – Selected as Research fellow at the state of the art Brain tumor research center at University of Toronto, Toronto, from October ‘05 to January’06, did bench research for brain tumors and for inhibition of their growth in lab using laminin inhibitors.
  • Asia Epilepsy workshop – Selected as one of the three representatives from India for Asia epilepsy workshop in Shizouka, Japan in April 2006.
  • Guinness world Records – Name got included and Guinness book issued a certificate on November 2006, for removing the most numbers of brain tumors from a patient at a single sitting.
  • Volunteer Services – Chosen as member of Federation of international education in Neurosurgery and deputed at Northwest Peru for Volunteering Neurosurgical services as an international faculty for April 2007 and June 2008.
  • Reviewer of Elsevier – Reviewing the Articles of journal NEUROIMAGE, Published by Elsevier from October 2006.
  • Visiting Professor – Invited as a visiting Professor of Neurosurgery at Medical university of South Carolina, USA, University of Michigan and UCLA Neurosurgery dept in June 2008.
  • UICC Cancer control – Recognised by UICC as a cancer control doctor from October 2007 to September 2008 in Asia.
  • Brain Science Foundation Scholarship awarded for attending 6th International Congress on Meningioma and Cerebral Venous System in Boston in September 2008. He started his Neurosurgery career in Jan 1998, at SGPGIMS, Lucknow. This is a tertiary care center, one of the super-speciality, university hospital in north India. Here he learned surgery for all types of cranial and spinal tumours. He has independently operated head injuries and gliomas, meningiomas and spinal surgeries including instrumentation and tumours like ependymomas and astrocytomas. During training he attended Neuro-endoscopy workshop with pioneers, Prof. A. Pernezcsky and with Prof. M. Gabb. He has attended the 3rd ACNS conference in Nagoya, Japan and visited fujita Health University and Nagoya university school of medicine, Nagoya, Japan. In Feb 2001, he also presented a paper in SAARC Conference at Dhaka, Bangladesh. In Jan 2001, he joined Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, as an Associate consultant and independently managed and operated all types of intracranial and spinal tumors and other CNS disorders. He has done extensive research work and has several papers published. He has also attended several nationala nd international conferences and workshops.
