Dr Uma Nambiar did her MBBS in December 1982 from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, MS(General Surgery) in June 1990 from Pune and M.Ch.(Neurosurgery) from Sree Chitra Tirunal in December 1993 from Institute for Medical Science& Technology, Trivandrum. At present she is a Consultant Neurosurgeon & Head at the Dept. of Neurosurgery & Surgical Neuro-oncology, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi. She was also an Assistant Professor, Neurosurgery, SCTIMST, TRIVANDRUM from May 94 to Nov 98. She has received various awards and scholarships and has many published abstracts to her name.
