Caffeinated coffee intake was inversely related with the risk of cancer of the mouth and throat. It was found that regular coffee drinkers (those who drank 4 cups of coffee a day) were almost 40 percent less likely to develop cancers of the mouth and throat than people who drank no coffee.
The protective effects of coffee could be attributed to antioxidants present in coffee that can offer protection against many types of cancer.
