Q: I am a man with no sex in marriage because my wife is HIV+ (infected during surgery performed while pregnant in 1995). Now life has become hell and I dont want to live anymore. Last month I made an attempt to end my life by consuming poison. I have got a son who is very safe and I dont want to risk my sons life or mine by having sex with my wife. I am not able to sleep for the last 4 years and we sleep separately. Please advice and help.

A:There is no need of such a desperate act as committing suicide. Please learn to live with your wife normally. Even if she is HIV positive, you can still have sex with her by using condoms - correctly. Learn how to use a condom correctly from a health care worker. Your wife requires all your love and support. Think about her too. There are hundreds of couples where one partner is HIV positive and still, they lead a almost normal life. It is also a good idea to personally consult a counsellor urgently.
