How can I be sure that I dont have AIDS?
Q: I had sexual intercourse 9 yrs back with a girl who most probably had other partners. I am very much tensed due to that incident and had undergone a Tridot (HIV/AIDS) test from a reputed lab, which was nonreactive. I have no symptoms till now. Can I be sure that I dont have AIDS?
A:If the exposure was nine years ago, and you have had a test from a reputed lab and got a negative result, you can be sure that you did not get HIV infection on that occasion. Please however continue to be safe by avoiding unprotected casual sex.
