Will our baby be short-sighted?
Q: I am a 26 years old pregnant woman. I am in my first trimester. My husband and me are both short sighted. My power is -9.0 and my husbands is -6.0. Will our baby also be short-sighted? Is so, how can we check it?
A:Although, any child can have short-sightedness, the chances for the same are high if any of the parents are short sighted. These chances are higher if both parents are short sighted. However, not all children born to short sighted parents are necessarily short sighted. There is no way to determine whether the child will develop short sightedness or not.
