Will General Motor’s diet plan reduce my blood pressure?
Q: I am a 38 years old male, 168 cm tall and weigh 85 kg. I am a body builder. For the last two years, my blood pressure readings are coming around 110/70. I feel am overweight and would like to go for General Motor’s diet plan. Will this diet further reduce my BP?
A:Your BP seems to be in accordance with the fact that you are into body building. It is better to have a slightly lower BP but that is not the only criteria you should look at. There are many parameters that will indicate your levels of fitness and health.
In my opinion, it may not be such a good idea to diet only to address one aspect of your health but to look at fitness and good eating habits as part of your lifestyle.
