What is the normal range of blood sugar?
Q: I am using "One touch Basic" machine for testing blood sugar level from Lifescan (Johnson & Johnson). I would like to know the normal range of sugar level for Fasting and PP on this machine.
A:The normal values are the following: Fasting: 70-120 mg% Post prandial: 100-180 mg% The levels would vary with the individual situation; for example we would maintain higher levels in a young child or in very elderly; lower levels in pregnant women.
