Typhoid and pregnancy
Q: In eigth month of pregnancy how typhoid will it effect the baby in growth or in future deformity or any side effects and what precaution are to be taken at age 22 years, wt 70kg, at present on medicines.
A:You should be investigated by your Obstetrician to rule out other causes of fever with loose motion and treated accordingly. In the eighth month of pregnancy your baby has already formed all the organs so no deformity can occur now. Because of high fever you might go into premature labour. Visit your Obstetrician as early as possible.
