Q: I have a 7 years old son. The doctor has advised him to wear spectacles with a power of -0.5 and 0.75 in his eyes. Is there any diet or precautions that can help him to improve his eyesight? Does he need to wear his spectacles on a regular basis?
A:The child should take plenty leafy vegetables and fruits to maintain a good vision, especially night vision. Glasses should be worn constantly. This shall ensure a clear vision at school, while watching television and using the computer.
