Pregnancy - effects of clomid
Q: I am clomid for the past 3 months. Intially I was on 50mg and increased to 100mg last month. The reason for me taking clomid is to regularise my periods. As my periods are regularised can I stop using the pill and plan for pregnancy? I read in a few books that clomid reduces the quality of the mucus. Is it true and if so how does clomid affect pregnancy?
A:Clomid is for ovarian stimulation and to enhance egg formation. It increases the chances of conception. Please discuss with your gynaecologist who has prescribed the medicine. You should always know how a medicine will affect your body.
