Q: I am a 30 years old women planning for a second child. But there are two things, which are hindering me from going ahead. I underwent a spinal surgery a year back due to a disc bulge. And my husband is suffering from heart problem and he is taking medication for the same. Is it the right time to conceive?
A:The risks involved are many - one at 30 plus if you get pregnant you need to get checked out for foetal defects especially down's. The disc problem can recur. You can take your calculated decision based on risk assessment. Chances of normal delivery are less and delivery by section is more likely.
