How much light is required while reading?
Q: Light is very important for eyes. What type of light and how much light should be used at the time of reading so that it does not affect the eyesight? Is table lamp good for the eyes at the time of reading?
A:It is important to use a good source of light while reading. A table lamp focussed on the reading material gives clarity. This is specially so for people above 45-50 years of age. A standard tube light above the reader and to the left side is preferable in most cases.
