How is a lost tooth built up?
Q: I want information on metal stick in root canal for dental crowning of premolar. My premolar has fractured and a large part of its anterior wall has been lost. Is this treatment alright or should I go for some other better option?
A:Yes, this is standard treatment where the lost tooth structure is built up by inserting a post in the root canal and later fabricating a crown over it. Sometimes we like to use non metal fiber post for build up so that it looks more natural for front teeth.
