Do I have cancer or just fungal infection?
Q: I have been smoking for a year and a half now and have developed yellow pigmentation in the upper portion of my mouth and also some dark patches, and a slight red patch in the inner lining of my right cheek and a white patch on my right one. I have also got some white spots on the upper lip. Does all this mean I have cancer. When I got myself examined, the doctor said I have fungal infection but I am doubtful. Kindly advise.
A:It is possible that you have fungal infection and your symptoms do seem like it but it can only be reconfirmed after proper examination by an experienced dentist or skin specialist. It does not seem to be cancerous according to the details submitted.
