Will the baby suffer due to slip disc and lesion in the brain during pregnancy?
Q: I am a 33 years old lady. I developed diplopia in my right eye two year back. The doctor diagnosed a lesion in the cerebral region of brain. I was on steroid for two months. The diplopia got set right but still lesion appears in MRI. I also got slip disc in T3, T4 disk in back bone. I am pregnant now for one week. Would the baby also suffer from brain problem? What will be the effect of pregnancy on slip disc? I heard with pregnancy slip disc problem gets increased.
A:There will be no effect on the baby due to the brain problem. Pregnancy need not cause any problem to the disc. At time of delivery you need to be careful but any woman can get disc problem with delivery so don't worry unduly.
