Will taking rabies vaccine 4 months after exposure have any effect?

Q: A year ago, a street dog bit me on my leg. The bite was small and mild. After 4 months of the bite, I took 4 dose of Rabipur post-exposure. I took 4 doses, but I missed the fifth dose, so I took another 3 doses of Rabipur pre-exposure. Nowadays I keep checking my antibodies against rabies, which shows 14.2. Can 4 doses of Rabipur post-exposure and 3 doses of pre-exposure prevent me from rabies? I have heard that rabies vaccine has to be taken within 24 to 48 hours after exposure.

A:If a street dog, whose movements cannot be followed bites a person, Rabipur injections have to be taken on the Day 0, Day 3, Day 7, Day 14, Day 30 and Day 90. Taking these vaccinations after four months of bite is of no use. However one can take three doses of Rabipur injections at any time as protection from future bites. Now that you have taken 7 injections, there is no need to continue with such vaccination.
