Will my second pregnancy be caesarean too?
Q: I am 32 years old and I delivered 3 years ago a child weighing 4.25 kgs through caesarean. The reason for the operation was that the uterus did not open up a bit and the baby's umbilical cord got tied between the neck and ankle. Now that we plan to have another one, will the second child too be a caesarean case since the first one was caesarean? I am 5 feet in height and weigh around 60 kgs. If it is going to be an operated delivery only then I am really scared.
A:At a height of 5 ft. and the good size baby that you had, chances of cephalo-pelvic disproportion (CPD) being responsible in your case as the cause of C-Section are very high. During the next pregnancy this fact has to be considered and if again the baby seems bigger for your passages, you might have a repeat C-Section.
