Why is IUI not successful in my case?

Q: I am 28 years old, married for the past 3.5 years and I am trying to conceive. I have undergone laparoscopy and everything is normal. I have also undergone IUI (intra-uterine insemination) twice. Both the times it was unsuccessful. Each time I have had a follicular study, it has been found that the follicle grows for about 25 on the 11th day and it gets ruptured at about 30. Is this the reason why the IUI is failing? This pattern happens when I take medicines, which I did for the last 2 times. Should I stop medicines and try IUI after undergoing follicular study? What are the reasons for failure of IUI?

A:Well, with IUI one expects a pregnancy rate of about 15% only, if the tubes are patent, and therefore, it may take about five to six cycles of IUI to yield a pregnancy in a couple and many a times longer. It is better to pursue with IUI for a few more cycles before calling it off. I am sure if there is no other problem, you will succeed.
