Why are my eye-pupils converging?
Q: I am a 25 years old girl who has been using contact lenses and glasses for the past 2.5 years. Before that I had big, beautiful eyes but for the past few months I have been noticing that my eyes do not open completely and my eye-pupils are converging. The eyeballs do not co-ordinate properly. I have to work 10-14 hours on the computer daily. Please advise.
A:You should consult an ophthalmologist to rule out contact lenses induced allergies - giant papillary conjunctivitis (GPC), which cause swelling of the lids. At the same time, an assessment of the eye muscles movements and coordination (to rule out convergence insufficiency or squint) will determine if the ocular alignment is normal or not.
