Why am I not getting my menses?
Q: I am a 43 years old married woman trying to conceive for the last seven years. But now my menses has become irregular. I had my last cycle two months back and till now I haven't got the cycle. How can I regularise my cycles? What are the tests I should take?
A:Make sure you have not conceived - get a urine pregnancy test done first. If it is negative (done from a good lab), next step is to make sure you are not reaching menopause - the (few years) time before menopause is called "perimenopause". I suggest you consult an expert gynaecologist who can check you up thoroughly before advising appropriate tests.
