Q: I am a 30 years old woman who had a D & C three months back and got my periods a month after that. The bleeding was very less. Then I got my periods again 4 days after the previous cycle and the bleeding continued for 9 days. Now I have got spotting again in 13 days. Why am I getting periods so early? Please advise.

A:If the D & C was for a medical abortion (MTP), then incomplete abortion, infection, and hormonal imbalance could be the cause of this menstrual pattern. However, if this was not a MTP, then either infection (endometritis) or hormonal imbalance can be the cause. You need to consult and be examined by your gynaecologist immediately.
