What should I do to conceive again?

Q: I am a 27 years old woman who has had 2 missed abortions. The first abortion happened in the 6th week of pregnancy and after that I had deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and APL- positive. So I took anticoagulants for a year and planned for a second pregnancy after it. At that time I was taking low molecular weight heparin and Aspirin 75 mg. But after 5 months I underwent termination. What should I do before planning the next pregnancy? Please advise.

A:You will need to undergo testing for APL and ACL antibody titres again with repeat levels after 6 weeks if they are positive and rising. In that case you will need to take steroid (prednisolone and aspirin after prescription). Once titres are negative, pregnancy can be planned- with repeat testing in the pregnancy again to check for rising levels of antibody - and further treatment if required.
