What should be the time gap between calcium and iron supplements?

Q: How much time interval should there be between calcium and iron supplements? I have heard that they interact with each other. Can I take iron 1-2 hours after calcium? Does levoxyl interact with any of these other multivitamins?

A:There are many types of iron preparations. For example ferrous sulphate, the most commonly used iron product, interacts with Levoxyl and reduces its effect. Similarly calcium (carbonate) also reduces its effect. Hence there should be a minimum of 4 hours gap.
