What precautions are to be taken in case of a breech baby?

Q: My LMP was approximately 8 months ago. The doctor has given me a due date after 1.5 months. Yesterday a junior doctor checked and told me that it is breech baby. By the time the senior doctor checked for heart beat and informed that child is very fine. Now I am worried about this breech position. What is the problem? whether position will change before delivery? Please explain me clearly. What precautions I should take?

A:The babys position changes during pregnancy. It is possible that the breech may get corrected. However, if the breech persists, the delivery will have to be through a caesarian section. No special precautions over and above those as in normal pregnancy are required. Your gynaecologist would have told you about these precautions.
