What is dry-eye syndrome?
Q: What happens when the tear glands in ones eyes dry up? My doctor says this has happend to me following a severe infection and that there is no cure.
A:When tear glands dry up, it is known as dry-eye syndrome. Though there is no cure but you can apply tear supplement eye drops and ointment which are available under various brand names. You can also conserve tears by applying plugs to block the tear drainage duct opening.
