What does a grade 3 placenta mean?

Q: My wife is pregnant and one week due to enter into the 8th month. The doctor did scanning and said that she doubts that my wife's placenta is in grade 3 of early stage. She asked us to go for a doppler scan. What does this mean? How will it affect her delivery?

A:A grade 3 placenta only ensures a mature fetus, which occurs at term and in case seen too early the baby could be smaller than usual, or the mother may have high blood pressure. So if neither of this is present, you really don't have to worry much.
