What causes sweating and lightheaded with rapid heartbeats?
Q: I am a 37 years old female weighing 63 kg. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes two years back. Then, I was placed on Glucophage and Daonil, after that, I began feeling lightheaded, fainting, rapid heartbeats, sweats and restlessness. The doctor told me that I have a low TSH. I also have lost some weight and missed periods for two months. I experienced burning sensation also. What causes sweating and lightheaded with rapid heartbeats?
A:Your symptoms like lightheaded, fainting, rapid heartbeats, sweats and restless are suggestive of low blood sugar level. Get your blood sugar F & PP done and get dose adjusted. For low TSH, repeat FT4 and TSH after two weeks. It will clarify the true picture.
