What are the latest Eye-Correction Techniques?
Q: My question is related to Eye-Correction Techniques. I am a 25 year old male and I wear specs of -1.25 on both eyes. I want to remove my glasses and want to know if I should go in for Eye-Correction or not! If not, then why not; and if yes, then which technique should I go in for? What is the difference between LASIK Surgery and a new technique called Zyoptix? Which technique should I opt for? is there any major difference between the two in the way it corrects the eye? If yes, then which technique should I opt for?
A:Yes you can undergo the procedure if all the preoperative tests are normal. Zyoptix - has the largest clinical trial results on it and attempts to tailor make the procedure on each eye, based not only on the sphere and cylinder but also on the higher order aberrations of each eye.
