Uterine infection during pregnancy
Q: My wife is in her 20th week of her pregnancy and unfortunately she has got an uterine-infection and she started leaking the fluid. She is in the hospital. She had four miscarriages previously and this time it has been upto 5 months. But now we have this problem. My question is: Is there any way to save the baby with none/minimal damage to the mother?
A:The chances of the pregnancy going on to term is very bleak. However if the rest and antibiotics make her continue her pregnancy there is almost very little harm expected to the baby.
