Pregnancy - blood group incompatibility

Q: I am a 23 year old mother of a 3 year old daughter. My baby was born by caesarian. What is the right time for having another child? After my first pregnancy the doctor told me that my uterus is very weak & there are chances of miscarriage. My blood group is O NEGATIVE. For this I had been injected during my pregnancy on alternate days to enable a child to stop in my uterus. We are very worried as to when and how we should plan for another baby.

A:Three years is a reasonable time to wait between pregnancies. If you had no major complications with your first pregnancy or the C-section, I do not see a reason for any future problems. It appears that you did receive Rhogam during and after the pregnancy. That should protect your second pregnancy from any blood related problems. I would strongly recommend prenatal vitamins with folic acid and iron before you get pregnant.
