Miscarriage during first pregnancy
Q: My wife is 37 years and three weeks ago she miscarried during her first pregnancy (6 weeks old). She is RH-ve blood group and is also anaemic. I have the following questions:a) Please advise whether there is any risk to either mother or child if we try for a second child. b) How many months would you advise that we wait before trying again for a child.c) How soon can we resume sex ?d) Should my wife become pregnant again, is there any special care or monitoring required?Grateful if I could have your views on the above matters.
A:You can resume sex within 3 weeks of miscarriage. You can try for a baby after 3 months. You need to visit your gynaecologist soon as you miss the first period and your gynaec will take care of the rest.
