Is tuberculosis related to infertility?
Q: I am a 34 years old female, on infertility treatment for the last five years. I was diagnosed as tuberculosis with Quantiferon Gold test. I have already taken the TB treatment for six months. Is TB the cause of my infertility?
A:Quantiferon Gold is a very non-specific test for tuberculosis. Anyway, you have already taken treatment for 6 months. If you are having fever for a long time you need to see a physician and have a thorough check up and investigations. Only after this matter is settled, you can proceed for your infertility treatment.
