Is my mother getting the right treatment for breast cancer?

Q: My mother was detected with breast cancer six months back. Her breast was then removed. Before removing the breast, chemotherapy was given along with radiotherapy. Now, after the operation, she is again undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Is the treatment being given sufficient? What kind of a diet should she consume to prevent recurrence? How frequent should the follow-ups be and will yoga help?

A:Yes, the treatment being given seems sufficient. She should also be given hormonal therapy after the chemotherapy is over. There is no specific diet to control the recurrence of cancer. However, green vegetables are considered better. Six monthly follow up, with x-ray chest and liver ultrasound should be done. Also, all forms of exercises including yoga are alright.
