Is my left eye power of any concern?
Q: I was recently diagnosed with an eye-defect. Since then I have been wearing spectacles for the past three months with a power of -3.75 in right eye and 0 in left eye. Is this a cause of concern? Although the power has been constant since 3 months, will it increase beyond this? Should I follow any precautions to keep my power constant?
A:There is no cause for concern but because of your age the lens power may increase in next 2-3 years. Your right eye is good for very close work and left eye good for perfect distance vision. You will be able to use your both eyes together with glasses but without glasses you are only using only one eye at a time depending upon whether you are using your eye for near or distance. Also wearing glasses will improve your field of vision as well as 3D vision.
