Is my daughter suffering from delayed menses?

Q: My 14 years old daughter has not reached her puberty yet. Recently ultrasound was taken, which showed uterus size is 2 X 1 cm and her ovaries are also small with small follicles. It is mentioned as hypoplastic uterus. What to do next? Her breast is developing and I could notice one or two pubic hair. Please guide.

A:Wait for one year for menses to start. If her breast development has started, menses should follow within a year. It might be just a physiological delay in puberty. But in case after one year of breast development, her menses do not start, you can see a gynaecologist.
