Is it safe to take Sorbiline syrup during pregnancy?
Q: Is it safe to take Sorbiline syrup during the eleventh week of pregnancy for getting relief from constipation?
A:Sorbiline contains tricholine and sorbitol. It is indicated in the treatment of liver and gall bladder (bile) disorders, not for constipation as such. The better way is to administer ispaghula sold as Isogel (or Isabgol) for constipation during pregnancy.
