Is it necessary to use refresh tears after a LASIK surgery?
Q: I am a 30 years old man who underwent LASIK laser surgery four months back. After 2-3 weeks on refractive tests, there was very slight difference in reading the last line of the reading board. Now the doctor has asked for a check up after three months and to take refresh tears. Is it necessary to use refresh tears?
A:Lubricants or tear supplements are usually recommended for a couple of months after LASIK. After that you can use them on a SOS basis i.e. as and when required. It is not an absolute must that you use them but they help to make you feel comfortable and alleviate any dry eye symptoms.
