Is it good for a diabetic to drink lot of water?
Q: I am a 33 years old diabetic. Is it good for me to drink lot of water? Can I add a small amount sugar to my tea?
A:Drinking a lot of water would be of no additional advantage. Follow your thirst only. Ideally you not have sugar. Avoid sugar if you are overweight, but in normal/under weight patients, small quantity does not make much difference, provided your blood sugar is normal and remains normal.
