Is fluoroscein angiography a safe procedure?

Q: I am suffering from branch retinal vein occlusion in the right eye. I was on dispersible aspirin 10 mg one per day but since I was suffering from GERD my doctor changed Clopilet bisulphate 75 mg. I have been advised to undergo fluoroscein angiography. I am suffering from bilateral trigeminal neuralgia which is under control with carbamezpine and gabapentin. I am frightened to undergo angiography. Will it help?

A:Fluoroscein angiography is a safe procedure. It is required to rule out macular oedema and retinal neovascularisation which can cause further visual loss and which are treatable.
