Is fantasising about one’s own parents normal?
Q: I have heard and read that people fantasise about their parents. Shouldn't these people go through proper psychiatric counselling?
A:To fantasise about anyone occasionally is all within the ambit of "normalcy" of human behaviour. So long fantasising doesn't lead to a socially and legally unacceptable behaviour is also acceptable. However, if fantasising about one's own parents becomes a routine and frequent feature, I agree that such persons need to seek professional help to overcome this obsession.
