Is c-section safe if the baby is in breech position?
Q: My 31-year-old wife has a medical history of TB, bronchiactesis and a possible diagnosis of Wegener's disease. What is the risk to the mother in case of a C-Section where the baby is in breech position?
A:The risk is very low due to only breech per se. The other medical conditions do increase the risk slightly, though. But C-section in more high risk conditions than the one you describe, are done today quite safely.
