How to manage dry eyes after LASIK?
Q: I have taken LASIK treatment in India 7 months back. I had myopia and was wearing glasses for 13 years, the power started with -1.0 and increased to -7.0. Now after LASIK it is 0.25 or 0.5. Everything is fine except a problem of dryness in the eyes. I thought of taking treatment of Punctum Plugs. Do you suggest this treatment? Please tell me whether this treatment is available in India or not? I will be leaving for India next month.
A:Dry eyes tend to settle over a couple of months. You could try tear substitutes in the form of Refresh Tears, Tears Naturelle, etcetera. If these don't work then Punctal Plugs can be tried. Imported Punctal plugs from the U.S. are available in India.
