How is egg donation done?
Q: I am a healthy mother, 33 years old. Recently, a relative of mine who is having problem with her pregnancy suggested that I should become an egg donor. I do not know anything about egg donation. How is it done? I shall be glad if you can throw some light on egg donation. Will it affect my chances of pregnancy if in future I think of conceiving again?
A:In the egg donation procedure, injections will be given to you to develop multiple follicles. When they are of good size Injection Profassi will be given to you. After a day you will be called early morning and under General anesthesia eggs will be removed from the follicles vaginally. No, it will not affect any chances of pregnancy in future.
