How can power of spectacles be reduced?
Q: My daughter is five years old. We just came to know that she has a power of -2.5 in both her eyes. Is there any medicine or any method by which we can reduce her refraction? What precautions should we take now? What type of diet should she take?
A:There is only glasses for constant use that are useful. A balanced diet is recommended with adequate green leafy vegetables, carrots and enough proteins. She should get her complete ophthalmic checkup, including retinal examination, done periodically.
