How can I be relieved of cramps in kidney failure?
Q: I am suffering from chronic kidney failure. It is getting worse now. I have started getting cramps, which are unbearable and I also have bad breath. I am taking the following drugs - Lasix 1 in the morning, Atenlol 1 daily, Nephridipin 2 times daily and Enralpin 2 twice daily. There is no dialysis service available in the country, in which I stay and transplant is the last option. Besides there is no kidney donator in this country. Please advise.
A:I think your cramps may be due to loss of salt aggravated by Lasix. I suggest stopping Lasix for few days. Take vitamin E 400 mg once daily. There is no possibility of finding a donor in India. You should look for a family donor.
