Do screaming and shouting affect the growing fetus?
Q: I am a 28 years old woman into my fifth month of pregnancy. Every thing is going good. I was on complete bed rest for the first three months. Yesterday, I got angry and shouted. After that, my tummy started paining. On the next day, there was less pain, which is not continuous. Do screaming and shouting affect the growing fetus?
A:Complete bed rest is very difficult to do - reading, folding clothes, making menus, chopping vegetables, watching television, music, Internet will keep you busy and productive too - so less anger. If too much pain, get investigated by a doctor - have a scan to find cause. Causes could be an ectopic pregnancy, a fibroid, an abnormal uterus with pregnancy and a threatening abortion among some of the common ones - have it checked and treated.
