Do I have an ovulatory problem?

Q: I am trying to conceive for the last one year but without success. I have undergone 3 blood tests in the last 3 months, which show that progesterone level is low (22) and ovulation did not take place. I have been having regular periods, which last for 5-6 days. If I don't ovulate, then how come I get regular periods?

A:Period has nothing to do with ovulation. Besides progesterone, several other tests have also to be done. Consult an infertility expert who will determine the cause for non-ovulation and give you medication to have ovulation.
